Thanks Pete and Aaron. Pete, incredibly well put. You know Gigasavvy and you know my love for my company, so yes, it's not work. It's work in the sense that I'm away from my family, but the work we create and the team, makes it an adventure every day.

It's something I will always continue working on and I will write about more ideas of best practices for work life balance as I learn.

This is seriously gold. You shouldn't be giving it out for free ;) I find that my commute is the best separation of work from home. When I used to work from home, I would go for a run before work, and one after work, just to get my brain wrapped around the idea of transitioning. Thanks for sharing!

Well said. Like anything worth doing, achieving a life/work balance requires effort, discipline and commitment... I've experienced your efforts first hand and seen the benefits. It's one of the very first things a good business coach will tell you. There's also a certain je ne sais quoi or gestalt, where the whole (balance) is greater than the sum of the parts. You have to understand the life/work balance process within the context of your life and business; and certainly within the context of your goals and objectives. But what if "work" constitutes a joyous enterprise? What if the skills, experience and teamwork you experience at work aren't really work for you (in the classic sense) but something you look forward to as well as excel at? This is one of the biggest challenges I face (and I think you do too) because our work is also fun. What say you sage of Gigasavvy?
